Moon Man, Mundane Monday, At the Pond, Hungry, Free, Here

At the Pond

cool dew on grass
sun sparkles on slender green blades
feet under cold pond water

I cast a stone to see it skip
above clouds and shimmering sky
stone plops and sinks under
ripple rings rush out in the distance
I raise my arms to accept a prize
winner I certainly am
who else but I can push a pebble so far
I raise my chin and fall back on the bank
